Hello, My name is Don Upham. This is the 69th year of my relationship with Jesus the Christ, who came in the flesh.
This blog is all about this man's journey to understand what it meant to be a minister, but not a pastor. Then after 9 years of pondering this question, finally came to understand that the ministry I was called to was not within a church or a missionary position. Finally, I would discover that I was to be involved in changing the spiritual atmosphere to bring the Kingdom of God near so that those that had been held in darkness and bondage to the fear of death all the days of their lives under the dominion of Satan would be brought into the light of the glory of God's Kingdom and have the opportunity to repent of their sin and have an inheritance among those who were being sanctified through faith in Jesus.
That ministry has been a wild ride since beginning in 1984. In the last half of the 90s, I and my family started getting beat up by the enemy until an encounter with Jesus in 2001 when He instructed me that "it was time to start doing damage to the enemies camp, but this time I was only to do exactly what the Lord instructed and only in the way He instructed, in the timing, He set forth and only with the people He would call to participate with me.
In 2009, the Lord instructed me to write a book describing this journey and to include instructions and examples regarding putting on the armor, hearing God's voice, and recognizing his revelations. That book was published in 2009 but went out of print in 2011 when my publisher went out of business.
This past year, My wife Janice and I have observed the evil and lawlessness all around us growing. On a number of occasions, I have pulled out my one remaining copy of the physical book to read sections to others or taught and shared examples from the book in our home life group.
In the Spring of the year 2022, I re-read the book cover to cover and came to the conclusion that it is still as relevant or more relevant than when I wrote it back in 2009. So, In June, We proceeded to get it re-published by a different publisher. That in itself was a spiritual battle, but the Book was released on June 28th of this year. The book's title is the same as this website; "In Favor of the Saints: Living, Standing, and Taking Possession of the Kingdom in this Evil Day". The book is now available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in both paperback and Ebook versions, as well as many other online retail sites around the world.
The purpose of the Blog is to create discussion, answer questions you may have about spiritual warfare, effectively putting on the armor, hearing God's voice or understanding His revelations through the Holy Spirit, as well as understanding prophetic acts.
